(LEVEL 300) Advanced Shibari
(ground ties)/ Shibari 300 Partial Suspension (mastering complex, high density and restrictive techniques, intricate ties, erotic or sexual ties, advanced negotiation, wax play, cutting rope, multi-rope harnesses, advanced anatomy, nerve mapping, comfortable ties, aesthetically pleasing or artistic ties, ROPE FLOW STATE, rigger and rope bottom experience levels, rope for the less than bendy, hypermobility, predicament bondage, using bamboo to tie, suspension mechanics, asymmetrical tying, understanding friction, tension, pressure and lock offs, and how to connect with you partner in a language of rope).

Suggested Rigger Level: For people with an understanding of Shibari and can tie a basic chest harnesses from memory, single/double columns with their eyes closed, and have been tying for more than 6 months. You must also have your own rope.

$30 CASH requested per person . ($35 if Zelle of Venmo)

CLASS START TIME IS 12:00 pm. DOORS OPEN AT 11:30 AM FOR CHECK-IN.
Doors open at 11:30 to allow for socializing. Class starts promptly at 12pm. Doors Lock at 12:15. You will have an hour from 2-3 for open practice of what you just learned.

Rope partners are preferred but not required. We have inanimate substitutes ready to be tied. If you come to the class without a partner we will NOT pair you up.

Welcome
These classes, held every first Sunday at a spacious 4000 square foot working art studio, in Long Beach. They are designed for those interested in learning the basics of Japanese rope bondage. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the fundamental techniques and safety considerations of this dynamic and artistic practice. Whether you are a complete newcomer to Shibari or have some prior experience, our classes offer a welcoming and supportive environment for all skill levels. Come and discover the beauty and cultural richness of Shibari as you explore your creativity and sensuality.

The classes are designed for partnered learning. If you do not have a partner we have mannequins, pool noodles or pillows for tying. We will NOT connect you with a partner.

DON’T HAVE ROPE? We have rope available for you to borrow or purchase. However if you don’t have your own rope please realize that you are probably not at the skill level required for this class. If so you are welcome to be an audience person and observe.

Things you should bring:

• Tying ROPE: a couple hanks 25-30ft in length each.
• Comfortable clothing for rope
• Aftercare needs, a blanket to keep warm after tying.
• Safety shears. Available for purchase if you don’t have any.
• A mat to tie on, if you prefer to use your own.

Available:

• Water bottles, coffee, popcorn, and snacks will be offered free of charge
• We have many soft mats for tying on.
• Emergency supplies will be on site in the form of safety shears and a first aid kit.
• 6 x 10 foot bamboo beams for suspension
• 2 ring hardpoints

Photography will only be allowed for reference. When taking photos please always make sure you no one else is in the frame. Do not take pictures of the instructors or other guests.

PARKING: Do NOT park in any of the parking lots. They will TOW even if you have a handicap sign! Park on the streets. During the day time there is a 2 hour time limit on Anaheim, but no 2 hour time limit late at night. Do not leave anything visible in your car. Unfortunately, CA has changed.
